Bunsen

About Bunsen

Free daily puzzle games built on the science you half-remember from school. One new puzzle per game, every day, the same for everyone.

How it works

Each game gets a new puzzle at midnight, your local time. Everyone plays the same puzzle on the same day, so you can compare results with friends, family or a class. Play takes a few minutes, needs no account, and works on a phone.

Your progress, streaks and stats are saved in your browser on your own device. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to log into.

The games

  • Periodic Path: connect two elements by naming the elements between them on a periodic table whose symbols are hidden. A test of where things sit on the table, not a quiz.
  • Discovery Timeline (coming soon): put inventions, discoveries and experiments in the order they happened.

Correct science

Every element position, family and date in our games is checked against standard references. Students and teachers play these games, so a wrong fact matters. If you spot one, please tell us at hello@bunsen.games and we’ll fix it.

Why it’s free

Bunsen is an independent site. It’s free to play and will be paid for by ads, which are kept away from the game board so they never get between you and the puzzle.
